Experience salsa in an entirely new way! Led by Jersey City dancer, choreographer, and educator Kenia Rosete, this welcoming introductory class will guide participants through the rhythm, movement, and joyful energy of salsa dance. No previous dance experience is necessary—just bring your enthusiasm and get ready to move!

This program is part of The Silent Stage Series, an immersive performance experience from the Jersey City Free Public Library. Participants will wear wireless headphones that deliver the music and instruction directly to them, creating a clear, personal connection to every beat while sharing the excitement of dancing together.

Advance registration is required. Capacity is limited to only 45 participants, so reserve your spot early!

Discover bold, boundary-pushing choreography through the FOCUS: Innovative Choreography Series, a curated platform co-produced by Kenia Rosete Dance and Art House Productions in Jersey City. Bringing together emerging and established choreographers from the NJ/NY region, each program features thoughtfully assembled shared evenings of movement-based work.

Since its launch in 2024, FOCUS has produced over ten performances featuring 32 choreographers, presenting a dynamic mix of recognized voices and rising artists while supporting the continued growth of the regional dance community.

This October, FOCUS celebrates TWO years of bringing diverse choreographic voices to the stage and building a growing platform for artists and audiences in the region.

What do we carry with us as we move between places, languages, cultures, and versions of ourselves?

still. to be. moving is a deeply personal dance work exploring migration, memory, belonging, and the ongoing process of becoming.

Moving between different dance vocabularies and fragments of memory, still. to be. moving asks what happens when the identities we inherit, perform, remember, and create do not fit neatly into one place.

This new iteration expands the original solo into a duet, with creative collaborators Fabiola Torralba, Gustavo Aguilar, Niara Hardister, and Kiernan Robinson.
